Aluflow Downpipe Shoe is fitted at the bottom end of the downpipe to help drain the rainwater away from your building. As the final crowning piece on any guttering, the downpipe shoe is designed to be effective but look stunning once installed.

As well as looking great, the aluminium downpipe shoe is important for any project where you are not connecting to a drain or drainage pipe. It should be angled so the open spout faces away from your building wall or structure.

Made from aluminium, the Aluflow® Downpipe Shoe is intended to be reliable and weather resistant over many years. As a guttering part takes a lot of the rainwater force it is critical it doesn’t rust or crack so aluminium helps ensure this.

This downpipe show is available in black, white or grey for rapid delivery direct to your door. We can also produce any RAL colour for bespoke colour projects.

With Aluflow® aluminium guttering installation is always straightforward. The downpipe shoe only requires slotting onto the downpipe, alongside the use of an optional squirt of gutter sealant. For a strong build, it is best to fix a downpipe bracket just above the gutter shoe.

Is a downpipe shoe always required?

Yes, you should always install a Downpipe shoe unless you are running the downpipe straight into a drain hole. Using a Downpipe shoe is important as it directs water away from the building foundations, reduces soil/surface erosion and creates a smart downpipe end.

At its core, the Aluflow Aluminium Gutter is designed for fast and easy installation. With our Rock N Lock feature incorporated in the gutter brackets fixing this system couldn’t be easier. Once installed, the gutter brackets are designed to be concealed from view for a stunning front aesthetic.

Aluflow products are powder coated to closely matched RAL codes within industry accepted tolerances. However please note that the varying manufacturing processes of different items such as the substrates, application methods and paint conditions can lead to slight variations in colour. Additionally, the finished colours may differ from batch-to-batch. Therefore there may be shading differences between different components which is an accepted phenomenon.
