Can you interlay clear corrugated plastic with bitumen roof sheets?
Yes, bitumen roof sheets can be interlaid with clear corrugated roofing sheets, provided that they are the same profile. The good news is that the unique Corrapol® Corrugated profile is shared amongst the majority of our ranges so you can mix clear and solid roof sheets in as required.
The most common compatible clear sheet options are the PVC Corrugated Sheet or Corrapol Stormproof sheet. With PVC being the budget option and the Stormproof being the strongest and best.

Yes, Corrugated bitumen is manufactured from an affordable fibre-based material, so they are a good short to medium-term solution. This type of sheeting is strong enough for a wide range of home projects but if you are looking for a more premium corrugated sheet then there is a better option.
For a long-lasting opaque/solid corrugated roofing sheet, the Corramet® Roofing Sheets are recommended. Made from superior material, they offer double the lifespan and great durability. Another advantage, versus bitumen roof sheets, is that Corramet corrugated sheets are available in lengths up to 4 metres long. This puts them in a class of their own.
There are two types of Corrugated roof fixing that can be used to fix corrugated bitumen sheeting: Flexi Cap Screw Fixings and Bitumen sheet nails. The Flexi cap Screw Fixings are the best option for most applications as they provide a more secure fixing and are a more watertight method.
