The Alukap-SS Low Profile Self Supporting Glazing Bar is an excellent aluminium Glazing bar for unsupported glazing spans up to 3m, depending on glazing material and glazing bar centres.

Designed to suit glass, Axiome Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets or Axgard Solid Glazing Sheets any thickness, these heavy duty self supporting glazing bars are ideal for a wide range of roofs. If you're looking for a self supporting glazing bars for 6mm glass then Alukap-SS is the glazing bar you need for your project. As well as glass roofs, Alukap-SS Bars are a good option of self supporting glazing bars for polycarbonate sheeting including 10mm, 16mm, 25mm and 35mm thicknesses.

The all-aluminium Alukap-SS system provides robust and long lasting finish to any residential, public, or commercial canopy or roofing structure, with an expected life span of 20 plus years. Manufactured in white or dark brown colours as standard the Alukap-SS bars can be also manufactured to any bespoke colour - simply pick a RAL colour which suits your project!

These DIY self supporting glazing bars are easy to install at home, commercially, with a simple screw down design and snap fix caps. Unlike rafter supported glazing bars, these self support glazing bars do not need any timber rafters or steel rafters below them to support them which makes installation faster!

How many Bar End Caps come with each Alukap-SS Glazing Bar?

Alukap-SS Aluminium Self Support Glazing Bars come complete with one aluminium bar endcap per bar. Additional Alukap Bar End Caps can be purchased if your roof is open sided, freestanding or a pent roof.

Unlike other Self Supporting Glazing Bars, Alukap-SS Glazing Bars can be installed with any thickness of glass or glazing, including our Axgard Solid Glazing Sheets and Axiome Polycarbonate Sheets, making them perfect for a wide range of commercial and home projects.

With a low profile glazing bar option that is great for spans up to approximately 3 metres* and and a high span glazing bar option that can span up to a market leading 6 metres* the Alukap-SS Glazing Bars are in a class of their own!

Great service and a good product. Had a couple of rtns which were collected free of charge, would defo recommend.

DIY installation of a lower ceiling in large conservatory.

I searched various sites on ways to achieve what I wanted finally settled on using high span glazing bars due ease of use, lightweight, and greater span capacity I chose Clear Amber as the best and cheapest supplier of these bars delivery was quick with the products arriving within the specified time. The SS glazing bars do the job brilliantly. I Would certainly recommend the company and thank them for their assistance.

The clearamber team is truly one which I enjoyed working with. They are quick to respond, always helpful and very knowledgeable on their product. They also go the extra mile to ensure that the customer is happy. I can't recommend the team more, they truly are great.

The product is well made and comes with everything possible to make installation as easy as possible. It was the first time I've ever built a lean to and it really came out looking great.
