A Gutter Hopper is used to help improve flow down a downpipe, increasingly flow capacity for 1/3 to full. They also can be used where multiple downpipes or gutters converge into one.
A downpipe hopper can be used with both deep flow gutters and half round gutters, as required. Usually a running outlet is installed as usual onto the guttering above which then flows directly down into the hopper head.
