Snapa Top Wall Flashing makes a faster and more waterproof solution when creating a roof to wall flashing on a polycarbonate sheet roof. As with the rest of our PVC Glazing Bar range, this wall flashing is designed for use with polycarbonate sheets, like Axiome® sheeting.
The clever polycarbonate roof flashing is made from power coated aluminium giving it great durability and strength. With a life expectancy of over 20 years the top wall flashing is a long lasting option.
This polycarbonate wall flashing has a flexible foam gasket which will work with almost any angle or pitch of roof. With a unique dual angle back plate the Snapa top wall flashing also offer two fixing angles to suit steeper and shallower pitched lean to roofs.
Why is a wall flashing important on a polycarbonate roof?
It is important to use a polycarbonate roof flashing when building a roof with polycarbonate sheets to ensure there is a proper watertight seal at the back of the roof. A wall flashing helps stops any wall draining down the roof from reaching the roof structure. Which, in turn, reduces the chance of the structure rotting or getting damp.
Installing a top wall flashing can significantly increase the lifespan of a polycarbonate roof by a number of years. Once you have installed a roof flashing it is advisable to run a small bit of flashing tape along the top or use exterior grade sealant to seal the top lip completely.
