What are Imperial measurements/ dimensions?

Imperial measurements are a system of units that was first defined in Britain back in 1824! Common imperial units of measure include:

What are Metric measurements/ dimensions?

Metric Measurement is a more popular system of units originating in the 1790's that is now used by the majority of countries as their primary measurement system. Common metric units of measure include:

  • Centimetre (cm)

  • Kilometre (km)

How to convert inches to millimetres?

Converting inches to millimetres (mm) is very easy, simply multiply your inches dimension by 304.8 and the result will be your same dimension in centimetres! 

Here are three easy steps to convert inches to mm:

  1. Note your inches dimension down
  2. Multiply it by 304.8
  3. if you wish, round the result to 0 decimal places by removing any figures after the decimal place. E.g. 7010.40 equals 7010mm

35 (inches) x 25.4 = 889mm
